Last Friday we went out house hunting again. We were going to see 3 homes, but one ended up being a duplex, so we passed on that one without going in.
Here are the other two we viewed.
We liked one more than the other. I will let you know if anything comes of it. In the meantime we are taking a break this week from house hunting.
We enjoyed our company this past weekend. It is always good to see old friends, isn't it?
So what have you all been up to? Have you started your fall nesting yet? I can't seem to settle myself enough in this temporary home to do any nesting. I am looking forward to having my own home again.
Welcome Home (Temporarily)

Oooh, I like the look to that first one, Penny! I can understand about the nesting when you know you are just in a place temporarily. It will be different once you get in your own place again.
I bet you liked the one with the red door. They are both beautiful.
I love the looks of the first one. Good luck on house hunting.
It sounds as if you are "about done" with the current situation. You are too much of a nester for living in someone else's space. I love the looks of that first home from the outside anyway.
Hi Penny,
I love the long porch on the last house and it has a red door!. Both are nice but I don't think you have found the "one" yet.
Have a sweet day,Elizabeth
I too like the outward appearance of the second house. We just started looking at homes on line again this week... this time we are scoping out Vermont.
House hunting can be exciting, but frustrating all at the same time. Hope you find the perfect fit soon!
The first one is cute but I do love a covered Porch!!!! Wish I had one to decorate up cute with some pumpkins. No fall decorating here yet.
They are both pretty and with you touch you could easily call either one of them home.
No fall decorating here yet.

They both look like lovely houses. I know what you mean about it being hard to nest when you're not living in your home. I always had the same problem. No fall decorating here yet - probably early next month, after I get some other things squared away.
Hi Penny, I liked them both but I am partial to the 2nd one with the dormer look. Love the big porch across the front too. The first one was pretty with the brick accent and the lovely plants. I'm waiting to hear more. Smile.
Happy hunting.
I am not Fall nesting yet but soon. I love this time of the year.
Love, Jeanne
The 2nd one is my favorite! Love big porches. Look forward to hearing if these work for you :)

Hi Penny, Although my style lends itself to the second house, as I've gotten older I have started to realize that hubby's idea of a ranch/single story home makes more sense. They are both beautiful homes but the second yard looks steep. Once you get into a home, I know you'll make it your nest. When we moved here to Colorado, we rented for two years and I hated it because it was never mine to decorate fully.
Can't wait to see what you decide.
Hugs, Noreen
I like both homes and I know you will use your magic touch to make one your own. House hunting sounds like fun to me...I have lived in the same house for 26 years! Best of luck!
XO,
Jane
They both look very homey. I can imagine you are ready to get into your "own" house...good luck with the rest of the process!
The second one reminds me a bit of your previous home. Love that porch and the red door! Both are pretty on the outside.

Both look so nice, how are you ever going to choose? I can't wait until you get into your own place and start decorating because I just know we will see some wonderful photos.

These both look promising Penny! I just got my new COuntry Living mag in the mail yesterday and saw int he Real Estate section that they had a home in Asheville that had a secret room. A secret room! Now it is older looking than these and probably not what you're looking for but I couldn't help but think of your search when I saw it:>)
I can't wait to see the one you choose. I know you will have lots of great posts in store for us.
Good luck.
How exciting Penny! I think both are beautiful but I LOVE the sec on one's front porch!!
We are still hoping to sell our home. When I became ill with shingles we came home from the lake. As I improve, I am trying to do a little bit of Fall decorating, without overdoing it physically and decoratively.:-)
These two are beautiful homes. We decided against attached villas as they are similar to a duplex.
Am gearing up to redo the bathroom in the guest bedroom. New paint is planned, new beadboard, new pedestal sink, new floor tile. Much of it will be white, with a pale duck egg blue walls above the beadboard. Now all I have to do is get the walls painted so that my live-in love and skilled (if reluctant!) assistant can take out the old sink so we can put in the new one ... I'll let you know how it goes. If you were closer, Penny, I'd probably be camped on your doorstep, asking for suggestions. Enjoy the house hunt. xoxox
House hunting again. You two are always up for the challenge aren't you? I know whatever you choose you will make it great. I'd love to be your realtor. Wouldn't we have fun?
