Hi Everyone!
I am back from my trip to Florida. I have 4 sisters that live there and it was great spending time with all of them.
Want to see what I did while away?
First stop on the way to Florida was in a charming little town in SC called Beaufort. Filled with old mansions and trees dripping with Spanish moss, it is set on the inter coastal waterway.
We walked around the town before having dinner to look at some of the beautiful homes.
We had dinner outside on the water, sitting at the table below.
The view below is taken from our room at the hotel we stayed at in Florida.
I went to the Naples Botanical gardens with a couple of my sisters.
We spent a day at the beach.
I went shopping and to the movies with Mr. Comforts..
Played 9 holes of golf.
And came home to crazy growth in my little herb and lettuce containers!!
It was a wonderful trip.
I have to do some laundry. Get some groceries and check out my booth at the antique mall to see what sold.

Welcome home, Penny! Always good to get away, especially if sisters are waiting on the other end of the journey. Such beautiful pictures, but my favorite is of the wonderful lettuces. Obviously, those deer don't climb stairs!

Looks like it was a fabulous time away from home and all that rain! We've been getting it the past couple of days........very heavy downpours lasting long enough to beat down all the beautiful flowers which is always sad. This morning is beautiful though, brilliant sunshine and much cooler - love it.

oh those gorgeous old homes! The water! It all looks so beautiful. I hope to see the South over the next few years. The old homes in some of those old southern towns have always called my name. I am so glad you had a wonderful time. Your portable potagers look ready to eat:>) We still have a couple weeks before we can strt to plant. we had a hard freeze in the lower 20's last week!

Thanks for stopping by today and admiring our Snowball Bush....it's my favorite in the yard and I can't wait for it to bloom every year! Yes, it does have a nice scent (but it gets overpowered by the honeysuckle right beside it!) Have a wonderful weekend :)
I figured you must have been away, Penny! It sounds like you had a lovely time; visiting family and enjoying yourselves. From your pictures it looks like the weather cooperated.
It looks like a wonderful trip. Beaufort is one of my favorite little towns. My friends and I always vacation for a week in the summer on Edisto Island and each year we take a day and drive over to Beaufort.
